FRED JOHNSTON - WITH SINCERE THANKS

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Fred Johnston, Director of the Centre, wishes to thank all of those, writers, non-writers, friends, colleagues, who contacted him in hospital or visited him during his recent illness, and those who made a point of keeping in touch almost daily by ‘phone. He was aware of the irony that now this time he was the ‘writer-in-residence’ at Merlin Park hospital! His sincere thanks also go to the patient and attentive work of the hospital nursing and other medical staff. He is now at home.
